LIFE & DISABILITY
SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM DISABILITY
What would you do if a sickness or injury left you unable to come to work and earn your paycheck? In the event that you become disabled from an injury or sickness, disability income benefits will provide a partial replacement of lost income. Roux provides both Short-Term and Long-Term coverages at no cost to you!
SUPPLEMENTAL LIFE INSURANCE
While Roux offers basic life insurance, some employees may want to purchase additional coverage. This is about your personal circumstances. Are you the sole provider for your household? What other expenses do you expect in the future (for example, college tuition for your child)? Depending on your needs, you may want to consider buying voluntary life insurance. With voluntary life insurance, you are responsible for paying the full cost of coverage through payroll deductions. You can purchase coverage for yourself and your dependents.
Employee: Coverage is available in increments of $25,000 to the lesser of 5 times your Basic Annual Earnings, or $500,000. Rates are based on age and the amount of coverage elected.
Dependents: Coverage for dependents is available if you elect coverage for yourself, provided the election amount does not exceed your own. Coverage for your spouse is available in a flat amount of $10,000. Coverage for your children is available in a flat amount of $4,000 per child up to age 21 (25 if a full-time student).
Please note, if you do not elect supplemental life insurance during your new hire enrollment period, you will be subject to completing Evidence of Insurability during your standard Open Enrollment Period, should you want to elect coverage then.
